Over the past year, Paamonim’s support system – providing mentorship and guidance – has undergone substantial enhancements. Previously, our family support services operated as a unified entity, encompassing all aspects of family support, including the expert center. A reorganization initiative was launched to improve support processes by effectively leveraging all available resources to guide and mentor each family through their transformation and recovery journey toward financial stability.
Volunteers were introduced to an innovative methodology tailored for both newly recruited members and long-standing volunteers. Our training encouraged them to see themselves as facilitators and integrators in a family’s transformational journey. Instead of focusing solely on individual aspects, we now approach families as holistic systems facing unique challenges, particularly concerning their financial habits. Our support team collaborates closely with supplementary expert resources. This collaboration includes delivering professional guidance to develop effective debt management plans, assisting with loan applications from Paamonim’s organizational fund (when necessary), and offering specialized advice across various fields, along with other services.
In response to the challenging economic climate – marked by rising living costs, inflation, and interest rates – we have prioritized income enhancement as a core focus in our financial recovery efforts. To support this, we have strengthened the expert center by expanding our workforce and investing in professional development. As a result, we have introduced two specialized services within our employment counseling framework: résumé writing and job interview preparation.
Over the past year, we also laid the groundwork for a nationwide system of courses tailored to the unique needs of families and single-parent women. This initiative included revising course content and training a new group of instructors who are now integral to our system. We are actively expanding our family support services through these courses, while continuously enhancing the expertise and professionalism of our facilitators.
Additionally, we conducted a comprehensive review and enhancement of our one-time “Paamonim” service, which has been expanded to include three consultations per family. The consultants providing this service have undergone specialized training to ensure its effectiveness.
Achievements in the past year:
- 2,005 families underwent financial rehabilitation support.
- 450 families received one-time counseling.
- 950 families and single-parent women completed a family course.
Alongside these initiatives, our support and mentorship services are engaged in a process of articulating and refining our organizational structure.
In light of the rapidly evolving external environment, coupled with the dynamic needs of the families and individuals we serve, we recognize the critical importance of enhancing our competence and professionalism. We are actively engaged in this transformative journey, confident that a more precise organizational structure will empower us to deliver the highest quality of service to families and individuals. This realignment will also strengthen the skills and capabilities of our staff and volunteers across a range of services, effectively positioning us to address the challenges of the future.
