Financial, behavioral and emotional support of families, in a series of personal meetings, with the aim of providing the family with knowledge and tools that will allow it to conduct itself with financial stability over time

Prerequisites for the position

  • Age 35 or older (except for students in the “Paamonim College for Financial Education” program)
  • About 12 hours are available for volunteering per month

* Background and experience in managing an independent household, basic technological skills, computer use)

Mandatory requirements for joining

  • Passing an interview, personal adjustment, a mandatory course that includes comprehensive professional and emotional training of about 9 sessions in the evening (each session about 3 hours)
  • Participation in professional training from time to time

Is the position starting immediately?

Training for new volunteers takes place once or twice a year in each region, as needed. Therefore, it should be taken into account that there may be a waiting period.

I have an extensive background in the fields of family economics, is it possible to start volunteering without training?

For the benefit of volunteering to accompany families in Paamonim, one must go through an adjustment interview and professional training that includes organizational procedures, financial and emotional contents and a lot of information about the accompanying process itself.

Will I carry out the escort alone?

The volunteers receive ongoing guidance and mentoring from the beginning by team leaders and professional advisors. In addition, there is a range of specialist consultants: debt management, legal, social security, finance, employment and more.

How long does the process of accompanying a family take?

The accompanying process varies from family to family and lasts from several months to a year.

Will I lend to several families at the same time?

Depending on the need, the volunteers are required to accompany two families at the same time.

Can I do the training and volunteering outside of my area of ​​residence?

The accompaniment will usually be done at the family home in the volunteer’s residential area, but there is also the option of remote accompaniment using a computer.

Do I have professional insurance?

Volunteers who conduct accompaniment, counseling or training and have undergone training are insured with professional liability insurance.

What if I miss some of the training sessions?

Attendance at all training sessions is a condition for volunteering.
