This year, too, you have an opportunity not to forget the mitzvah of gifts to the patriarchs, which takes place on the day of Purim. Following the success of the campaign last year, this year as well, the organization is holding the initiative to fulfill the mitzvah in a simple and easy way via the Internet or telephone.
Donate NowThroughout the year, Paamonim accompanies thousands of families throughout the country, assisting them in the process of economic rehabilitation. In preparation for the holiday, the organization’s volunteers were asked to locate the families in need of financial assistance immediately. Paamonim volunteers submitted the names of the appropriate families to a special committee, which discussed every request for support ahead of Purim. All this so that on Purim Day you will reach families who need financial support.
So how does it work?
The surfers appoint the organization to be their emissary for the mitzvah of gifts to the patriarchs before Purim Day or on Purim Day itself. The appointment is done by simply selecting the day you would like your donation to be given (14 Adar or 15 Adar), and then donating on a secure website. The donations collected will be transferred to needy families on Purim Day itself, in order to fulfill the mitzvah “on the same day.” You can also donate in other ways: phone, bank transfer and check delivery.
The distribution of gifts to the paupers will be carried out in cooperation with the volunteers who accompany the families throughout the year, in order to deepen and strengthen the connection between the families and the volunteers and to increase the joy on the day of the holiday.
