This program is tailored for youth and young adults at risk. The program includes small group workshops whereby youth at risk soon to be living independently, are taught tools for financial household management.
Main topics include: smart consumerism, influence of advertisements and social pressure on personal consumerism, reading payslips and employee rights, banking and other entities such as National Insurance. Paamonims’ professionals train local teams to continue this work in the field.
The program also includes individual mentorship for at-risk young men and women who have already fallen into financial crisis and require more targeted assistance.

The Tachles Program was established in 2013, aiming to provide a unique response to the financial needs of at-risk youth and young adults and the professional teams accompanying them. The program’s goal is to raise awareness and make information and tools accessible on the subject, in order to encourage wise financial management and preparation for independent financial life.
Workshops for at-risk youth and young adults
The workshops are tailored for youth and young adults residing in a wide range of settings, such as hostels, boarding schools, transitional apartments, and community centers. The workshops are delivered by students with experience as group facilitators, who have undergone specialized training and receive close professional guidance. The length of the workshops varies, from a single 3-hour session to a 5-session workshop, with each session lasting 1.5 to 2 hours, according to the hosting framework’s choice.
Workshop contents
Introductory unit: Attitudes towards money and cost of living, what does money mean to me? Between values and money
Budget management tools: Recording and tracking expenses, creating a personal budget, saving and future planning.
Smart consumerism: Tips for wise consumption, dilemmas and coping with consumer and financial challenges.
The world of employment: Labor rights, understanding pay slips, savings and pensions.
Banking: Familiarization with banking terms, tips for dealing with the bank and managing a bank account.
National Insurance and rights utilization: Introduction to the National Insurance Institute, familiarization with NGOs providing assistance in various areas.
Focused individual counseling: Depending on the workshop’s length and the framework’s needs, each participant will receive personal counseling with one of the workshop instructors.
Training professional teams
Lectures and training sessions are intended for professionals interested in expanding their knowledge in the financial field in a way that will allow them to develop discourse on the subject with youth and young adults at-risk. The training for teams will be provided with guidance for various types of responses – individual or group. In addition to enriching the professional toolbox, tools for managing personal household budgets and planning for a beneficial economic future will be taught. The length of the training sessions varies from a one-time lecture to 4-6 hour seminars, according to needs. The training is delivered by senior instructors with extensive experience in leading various workshops for Paamonim.

Proper financial management: Stages in the process of financial recovery (reflecting current expenses and income, creating a personal budget, future planning according to financial goals) and accompanying youth and young adults in the process.
Solving dilemmas and challenges of financial management issues of at-risk youth and young adults.
How to implement financial discourse in the framework? Building a vision and work plan for the framework on financial matters.
Individual guidance for at-risk young adults
Personal financial guidance for young adults aimed at providing assistance in crisis situations and debts, and imparting tools and knowledge for wise financial management and creating a stable financial future. The guidance is open to everyone, and if it’s an issue outside our area of expertise, we’ll try to refer to appropriate sources.
The guidance is provided free of charge by appropriately trained volunteers.
